“ We were heading to the Nijo castle when we came across this restaurant. We were attracted by the cute logo and the atmosphere it radiates. We waited about 10 minutes before being seated. The waiters were nice and polite. We ordered Fried rice with thin omelet, thick pork katsu curry and honey toast. The food arrived quickly and all were yummy. Our daughter loved the food ”
“ Quaint Japanese cafe! A great little stop for a bite - delicious curry and the egg sandwiches were prepared so precisely with the fluffiest crustless bread. ”
“ Nice little cafe in Showa era style. A good place to choose when you visit around Nijo. Egg sandwich and curry with deep fried pork cutlet were delicious as they look. Since it’s a small place there will be a line at lunch time. ”
“ One of few places around this area open from 8am. Like most cafés offering meals, they have curry and pasta dishes. Their prices are reasonable and so is their coffee, really enjoyed their Napolitan pasta (pasta adjusted to Japanese tastes). I definitely recommend the egg toast. ”
“ The food was satisfying and fulfilling. Decor was like elementary school setting. ”
“ A perfect, relaxing spot after exploring Nijo-jo Castle! The retro, nostalgic atmosphere and the photos from the Meiji period on the walls really bring the history of the place to life. The food, drinks, and friendly staff make for an unforgettable experience! ”
“ The food was really good and tasty. The place itself was nice looking and clean. The workers were friendly. I recommend it as a place to eat something good and fresh ”
“ Really enjoyed my brunch here, very reasonably priced! I got the pasta and got the larger portion, absolutely filling! My partner got the curry and its very traditional and filling too. We added eggs to our meals and it didn't cost too much more. Coffee and tea were lovely, 5 stars and we might be back again tomorrow! ”
